Two trips are required to Ethiopia by the Ethiopian
Government.
On your
second trip, it is
finally time to pick up your child(ren) so pack your bags and head for Ethiopia. You will be
traveling to the capital city of Addis Ababa. Your stay there will be
about seven days. Your days will look something like this: (always
subject to change, this is a rough approximation)
Day 1:
Arrive in Addis Ababa. Our Ethiopian
facilitator will meet you at the airport with a sign that reads, Welcome
IAN Families. He will then take you to your hotel.
Day 2:
Our IAN representative
will take you to the orphanage to pick up your child. Please take this
opportunity to visit with the staff and caregivers and ask any questions
you have about your child(ren).
Day 3:
On this day you will have an Embassy
interview so you can apply to get a VISA for your child. This is always
on a Wednesday.
Day 4:
Free day to travel or whatever your
heart desires.
Day 5:
Another free day for you, however, an
IAN representative will be picking up your child's VISA. This is always
on a Friday.
Day 6:
Time to go home with
one or two in tow! An IAN representative will see you and your adopted
child off at the airport. |
